About RadLyn
RadLyn is a medical device company founded by Dr. Lindsey Nelson.
Dr. Nelson, an anesthesiologist at the University of Cincinnati
Hospital, developed the RadLynTM Stylet when difficulty was
encountered passing an ETT over a guide in a patient with severe
laryngeal edema. His desire to design an effective single-step
device with simple design to be widely used by all airway
professionals was reinforced after a personal tragedy. His cousin's
wife, Lynette, died after emergency personnel were unable to place
an ETT following an aspiration during a severe asthmatic attack. The
second syllable of our company's name is a remembrance to Lynette.
The first syllable is an acronym for 'Rapid Airway Device'. RadLyn's
mission is to bring medical products to market that will improve patient care and save lives.
Inventors Welcome
RadLyn LLC is a company which was formed in order to make a
reality out of an idea that came to anesthesiologist, Dr. Lindsey A.
Nelson, after he encountered a difficult intubation while on duty.
His idea seemed simple enough to execute, but the initial
introduction to the large medical device companies was met with
obstructions and obstacles--both logistical and financial.
Fortunately, he by-passed these corporations by assembling a group
of individuals who specialized in the areas required to bring his
idea to market. Each member of the RadLyn team was hand-picked not
only for his expertise, but also for his complete buy-in to Dr.
Nelson's commitment: to improve patient care and safety.
Since then, Dr. Nelson has been approached by several individuals
inquiring about the product development process. Because RadLyn has
the ability to bring an idea from conception to market, we welcomed
the opportunity to develop a prototype for another inventor. Both
parties enjoyed the process. RadLyn took care of all the hassles,
and therefore, the inventor could concentrate on refining the
clinical applicability of the device.
We would like to share this mechanism with others who have not yet
acted on their ideas due to a lack of capital, time, and knowledge
of the process. Our goal is to improve patient care. If medical
professionals have the ability to develop and be financially
rewarded for products, then we believe this is a great way to
advance our goal.
If you are an inventor or an individual with an idea, please
contact us. Even if it's not within our realm of development, we
would be happy to introduce you to a network of experts who might
further your idea. Radlyn is a trademark of Radlyn LLC |
